Our father left these words on our bathroom mirror.
We grew up with them, and they became a guiding light.
Their true meaning remains elusive.
Their significance does not.
As time passes, a fully lived life seems only possible through
one's Madness. The devotion born from its pursuit reveals truth
and fulfillment in action. From this emerges richness,
excellence, and a quiet sense of flow we have not found
elsewhere.
We are learning that Madness is the key.
Excellence is the conduit.
A fully lived life is the result.
Its pursuit has also revealed the paradoxical nature of life.
That it means something, and it does not.
That what we do matters, and it does not.

Almost like a childlike game to be played with complete intensity, without overemphasizing its significance.
A liberating revelation.
Perhaps, Madness shares this nature.
In our experience, and as seen in others, Madness is also a paradox.
What suggests disorder, when truly found, reveals its own elegance and grace.
Anahata carries a similar paradox.
Derived from Anahata Nada - an unstruck sound, a resonance already alive in the universe.

Born in India, Anahata is a design house rooted in our father’s and the
culture’s legacy of consummate craftsmanship.
Since 1989, he has worked in leather and suede, producing garments for
some of the world’s most distinguished fashion houses.
Anahata weaves the rich tapestry of the Indian
lense on fulfillment and mastery within the modern
context - our creations informed by the sensibility
of excellence and joy in everything
Anahata is a form of our Madness expressed
through every article we curate and design for you.

Anahata,
A reminder to us,
an invitation to you,
to Find Your Madness.
